The table lamp “oculus” is inspired by an eye. The lamp is made of concrete and laminated wood. 
The centered light will change direction when moving the concrete “eye”.

Process until the finished product consisted of sketches and 3D drawings in Rhino to develop ideas, materials and design.  Use of the material was a process in the workshop with experimentation of wood and concrete. The challenge was to balance the weight of the concrete “eye” and the strength of the arm.  The arm is made of laminated wood and is bent over a plug in a vacuum press. All work is performed on HIAK workshop.

The lamp was exhibited at the On-off exhibition organized by class 2BA at HIAK in 2010 DogA in Oslo.
